The Current — Mission
To connect people, bridge cultures, and inspire understanding through media, strategic communication, documentary storytelling, cultural research, and international collaboration — creating authentic stories that foster dialogue, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen connections between communities across the world.
The Idea That Started The Journey

Iraqi Travellers Cafe

The idea that started the journey — from a small community gathering in 2019 to one of Iraq's most recognized cultural exchange initiatives.

Co-founded in 2019, Iraqi Travellers Cafe (ITC) began as a community initiative and grew into a platform for intercultural dialogue, responsible tourism, and people-to-people diplomacy — connecting international visitors with local communities across Iraq.

What started with walking tours and informal gatherings expanded into cultural events, workshops, and international exchange programs, and eventually into media: documentary collaborations, television appearances, and press coverage that carried Iraq's story to a global audience.
